The people at Kellogg's just announced they'll be making pumpkin spice FROSTED FLAKES this year. They should hit stores before the end of summer. And according to a few food bloggers who got to test them, they're REALLY good.
The only question: Why are they bothering to wait to release them? Kellogg's already kicked off pumpkin spice season with Special K Pumpkin Spice Crunch cereal showing up in stores last week.

Kellogg’s® Special K® Touch of Brown Sugar Gluten-Free Cereal ½ c. Skim or 1% milk 1 T. Pumpkin Latte Syrup (recipe below) or purchased pumpkin beverage syrup 1/8-1/4 t. Instant espresso coffee powder or instant coffee granules In a cereal bowl, combine Kellogg’s® Special K® Touch of Brown Sugar Gluten-Free and milk. Drizzle with Pumpkin Latte Syrup and sprinkle with instant espresso powder. Pumpkin Latte Syrup In a small saucepan, combine ¾ c. Water, ½ c. Granulated sugar and ¼ c. Packed brown sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring to dissolve sugar. Reduce heat to medium and add 2 T. Canned pumpkin and 1 to 2 t. Pumpkin pie spice. Cook and stir over medium heat 5 minutes or until thickened. Cool completely and store in the refrigerator up to 1 week. Makes 1 cup.
