Pusha-T Launches New App for Hip-Hop Listeners

Pusha T is back in the news and this time it has nothing to do with his infamous Drake beef. The New York rapper has recently teamed up with tech entrepreneur Summer Watson to launch a new app called, Heir

The app is created with the intention of helping the hip-hop industry engage more with its fans. Users will have the option to vote music tracks up or down and potentially earn digital currency on the app, also known as Crown.

If a user shows that they are interested in a track that majority of users like, they can earn the currency. Unfortunately, Crown can just as easily be taken away if a user gives a thumbs up to a track that many users aren't vibing with.

Rappers throughout hip-hop seem to be making moves into the technological world. Dr. Dre claimed to have become the genres first hip-hop billionaire when he and Jimmy Lovine teamed up with Apple Music to sell their Beats Electronics for $3 billion.

Another well known artist in the technological sphere includes Will.i.am who has worked with Intel and together launched its i.am+ device.

Pusha T's Heir is now taking sign-ups for early access.
