The Top Grossing Tours of 2018 So Far | Rahny Taylor Morning Show

posted by The Rahny Taylor Morning Show -

ED SHEERAN is CRUSHING IT on the road so far this year.  Pollstar just released their annual mid-year list of the top-grossing tours over the first six months, and Ed is absolutely dominating it.

Which MIGHT come as a surprise to some people, mostly because he's touring overseas at the moment, and he won't arrive in North America until next month.

Ed has grossed $213.9 million from 52 shows in 21 cities.  He's sold 2.6 million tickets, at an average price of $80.90.  And the next closest act, Bruno Mars, is $100 MILLION behind him.

Also, Ed's total is a RECORD.  It's the most that any act has made in the first six months of the year since Pollstar started doing this list back in 2009.

Here are the Top 15, along with the total gross and the number of shows:

1.  Ed Sheeran, $213.9 million . . . 52 shows

2.  Bruno Mars, $113.4 million . . . 50 shows
