Giannis Leaves Early; Bucks Roll in Return for All-Star Break 128-99

13 in a row. Despite taking a week off, the Bucks busted out early in their first action since the NBA All-Star break with a resounding 128-99 win over the Miami Heat to extend the team's winning streak to 13. Milwaukee led by 10 after 12 minutes, but lost Giannis Antetokounmpo for the rest of the night due to a right knee injury. Giannis reportedly just knocked knees with a Heat player in the first quarter which led him to ask to come out.

The Bucks knocked down 10 first half threes, leading to a 73-56 advantage. Milwaukee continued the dominance in the second half, not letting their lead dwindle under double digits for the rest of the night.

While welcoming back a returning Bobby Portis who missed a month with a MCL sprain, Milwaukee also debuted their newest acquisitions, Meyers Leonard and former Marquette star Jae Crowder.

Portis electrified the Fiserv Forum crowd with ten first quarter points, finished with 18. "He's a big part of our character," said Mike Budenholzer postgame about Portis and what his return to the lineup meant.

Jrue Holiday followed up his All-Star weekend performances with a game high 24 points on 5-9 shooting from behind the arch.

While Budenholzer provided no further detail on Giannis' knee issue, Bucks fans won't have to wait long to find out more on the status of the 2-time MVP. The Bucks will be back at Fiserv Forum Sunday at noon for a 2021 Finals rematch against the Phoenix Suns.
