When You're Setting a Goal, Ask These Three Questions!

It's a new year, and to help with new you, Andy from The Princeton Club joined the show today for Motivation Monday to give you tips on how to set goals effectively.  Listen below if you missed it!

This month we're spotlighting trainer Amy at the Princeton Club who says... when you’re setting a goal, ask yourself these 3 important questions.

  1. Does it make sense for you?

(Example: I need to lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks.  It’s not achievable and sustainable) they must be smart goals!

  1. Is it a goal that’s meaningful for you?

(It should speak to you, not my husband told me I need to lose weight, but rather “I want to lose this weight so I can play sports with my kids”.)  What’s your true reason why?

  1. Is it a goal that’s challenging for you? 

(Because you’ll lose interest if it’s not) Toe the line of discomfort, but not all at once, focus on small goals!
