Remastered "Tony Hawk Pro Skater" could start new trend in video games

Tony Hawk himself made the announcement yesterday that the original Tony Hawk Pro Skater one and two will be remastered and re-released for the Playstation 4, XBox One, and PC on September 4th. The original game was made for the Nintendo 64 and Playstation in 1999. Now 21 years later it is going to be remastered along with Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 and will include all of the original levels and even the majority of the soundtrack used in the originals games. Watching the creativity and style of the original game with updated graphics is intriguing to a lot of new and old gamers.

The popularity of video games has increased substantially over the last few years, but many people in the early 30's or older have not really understood the fascination with games like Fortnite, Rocket League, and more. The reason for that may be that video games have changed so much since the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's. Games now have a lot of downloadable content and are built for streaming and online play which was much different than the story and achievement style of games from back in the day.

A fan of the James Bond video game Goldeneye, which some argue is one of the most important video games in history, remastered Goldeneye for his friends to play on PC and when the internet saw screenshots of the levels they lost their minds with excitement. So that begs the question, will the news of Tony Hawk Pro Skater being remastered and re-released start a trend of legendary video games being remastered with todays graphics? In comparison to when Nintendo dropped their mini versions of the original NES and Super NES where the games were available with original graphics, this would truly be a game changer.
